Nerikomi Wall Vase for dry flowers. The pattern used to create the vase is created with colored clay. The pattern is IN the clay, which is what the Nerikomi technique is. It is why you can see the pattern on all sides of the vase. This strip of Nerikomi clay was then shaped in a swirl around a mold to take its form. There is a small hole at the back to hang it from a small nail, or you can put a small wire/string through the hole to hang it from . A bunch of dry flowers will fit easily in the center of the vase.
This vase was fired at cone 6 (2200 degrees F or 1200 degrees C) and is glazed with clear glaze. It is extremely elegant and looks great in a kitchen, entrance way or lounge nook. It is about 6 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide.
